The Seal of the Village of Green Island has been colored teal in honor of former Green Islander Zach Remillard and his Coastal Carolina baseball team (Teal Nation) on the occasion of winning the NCAA National Championship on Thursday afternoon. Zach, a senior third baseman and cleanup hitter, was very instrumental in the outcome and was named to the All Tournament Team. Congratulations to Zach and also to his parents Ernie and Jennifer (Connery) Remillard and brother Will (who is presently with the Chicago Cubs organization). Green Island is very proud of your accomplishments and now look forward to watching you move on to the Chicago White Sox soon.
