NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – The Village of Green Island will submit a funding application to the New York State Office of Homes and Community Renewal through Round V of the Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) process on or before July 31, 2015, in an amount not to exceed $600,000 under the Community Development Block Grant Program. The purpose of this public hearing will be to discuss the Village’s needs, this year’s application, and other community project ideas. Proposed activities for this year’s application includes the reconstruction of Tibbits Avenue and improving village-wide water pressure.
A public hearing will be held at 3:00 p.m. on July 2, 2015 at the Green Island Municipal Center, 19 George Street, Green Island, New York 12183. The Village will describe the Community Development Block Grant program and will seek public input on the proposed 2015 Competitive Round CFA Application. Citizens are encouraged to attend.
Written comments concerning the proposed application may be submitted to the Village Board, Village of Green Island Offices, 20 Clinton Street, Green Island, New York 12183, to the attention of Sean Ward, Executive Assistant to the Mayor, regarding the 2015 Community Development Block Grant Competitive Round CFA Application.
