Notice from NYSDOT:
ROUTE 787 CONSTRUCTION WORK REQUIRING NORTHBOUND CLOSURE TIBBITS AVENUE – DYKE AVENUE 6 P.M. FRIDAY MAY 10 – 6 A.M. MONDAY MAY 13 As part of our effort to transform Cohoes Boulevard, the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) will need to CLOSE northbound Route 787 between Tibbits Avenue and Dyke Avenue to traffic from 6 PM Friday, May 10 until 6 AM Monday, May 13. The closure is necessary so that our contractor can reconstruct the northbound left turn lane at the Dyke Avenue intersection and prepare the roadway for a new northbound alignment that will be in effect when that side of the road reopens on Monday. Note that the detour goes a block past Dyke Avenue, returning traffic to Route 787 via Bridge Avenue. Please plan for heavier than normal traffic on Route 32 during the closure/detour period. All homes in the area will continue to be accessible during construction, and local deliveries and other services will continue to be provided in the area. Please watch local media outlets and NYSDOT social media – Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NYSDOT Twitter: @NYSDOTAlbany – for additional information and schedule changes for this work.
