WHAT: The Village of Green Island Festival of Trees event will take place tomorrow, Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the River Park and Green Island Gazebo (GIG) located just north of Heatly School in Green Island.
Starting at 2pm, 36 trees throughout the River Park will be decorated with lights and ornaments by families and groups that have agreed to sponsor and dedicate them for the year.
At 5 p.m. Santa will be visiting the site and will be joined by Mayor Ellen McNulty-Ryan for the official lighting of all of the trees followed by Christmas Carols by all of the participants.
Hot Chocolate and baked goods will be served throughout the day.
